The story of our partnership, from helping children with cancer to joining efforts through the challenges of full-scale war, is shared by the head of the western region of Ukrposhta, Olena Doroshenko.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Ukrposhta<\/strong><\/a> was one of our foundation’s first partners. Our collaboration began in 2016. Together, we supported children fighting cancer<\/strong>. Olena Doroshenko recalls how Chernihiv oblast was among the first to join our \u201cChildhood Cancer\u201d program. The postal service accepted substantial charitable donations from customers, which became significant support for the treatment of seriously ill children at that time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, childhood cancer remains a relevant issue today. Although our priorities shifted somewhat after the full-scale invasion, the support provided to the oncology department of the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital was crucial.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFebruary-March 2022. It was tough. Chernihiv oblast was under occupation…<\/b><\/i>\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Together, we provided food and essential supplies to the defenders of the region and the local residents of Chernihiv, who were under siege. Cooperation intensified when the enemy withdrew from the city, and under a new project, assistance was directed to the Defense Forces<\/strong>. We purchased and delivered generators, tablets, EW devices, and other protective equipment for our defenders.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIn our cooperation, trust and transparency are key. We have regular statistics, and we know where the funds raised by Ukrposhta employees are directed.<\/b>\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Trust is the core value of our collaboration, says Olena. She does all her best to increase support for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, whose needs are constantly growing. In addition to helping defenders, there is an increasing demand for rehabilitation and psychological support for veterans, which is just as important.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, it is impossible to remain indifferent to the issues that Ukraine faces, says the head of Ukrposhta’s western region. Every business must become socially responsible. Paying taxes in Ukraine means providing Ukraine with the strength to fight and supporting the Defense Forces in their liberation efforts. Ukrposhta is a vivid example of how a business can impact a country’s fate<\/strong>, as it runs its large-scale charitable projects. Moreover, our joint efforts have united not only Chernihiv oblast but also Khmelnytsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi oblasts, with colleagues from Ternopil and Vinnytsia joining as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor a project to be successful, it needs a spark. A spark of motivation.<\/b>\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, everyone faces their own challenges, but Olena believes that good deeds motivate us to keep moving forward and inspire others. Our team is proud of the collaboration with such a motivated partner.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

In May 2024, we signed a cooperation agreement with Vodafone Ukraine<\/strong><\/a>, marking the beginning of a meaningful partnership. Victoria Ruban, head of public relations at Vodafone Ukraine, shares insights into the choice of working areas and the role of charity as part of the company’s business strategy.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

For many decades, Vodafone has supported social projects in healthcare, education, and help for children deprived of parental care. Healthcare is a field that changes and develops rapidly through innovation, and Vodafone is especially committed to solving complex issues with innovative solutions<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are not experts in medicine,”<\/i> emphasizes Victoria. That is why Vodafone values collaboration with partners who have professional expertise in charitable projects, which helps select the most effective approach to achieving the goal.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn all our projects, whether commercial or charitable, we value a professional approach.<\/b>\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

At the outset, understanding the full range of tasks involved in a project and ensuring that every step is well thought out and planned is key to success, says Victoria. Equally important is trust in the partner.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cClear and transparent reporting at every stage helps us trust the partner and move forward with them in new projects.<\/b>\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Our collaboration focuses on helping family-type children’s homes, organizing medical training, and purchasing necessary medical equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to Vodafone, we were able to purchase a stationary medical lift for the pool in Halychyna Rehabilitation Center, an electric gynecological chair and infusion pumps for the Kherson Regional Children’s Hospital, a passive rehabilitation device for the Yushchenko Hospital in Vinnytsia, and a rehabilitation board and stairs for gait retraining for the Uzhhorod Neurosurgery and Neurology Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe that the most effective medical practices should be available to Ukrainians, especially when it comes to healthcare.<\/b>\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Charity is a key part of Vodafone’s business strategy<\/strong>, and healthcare remains one of its main areas of focus. While it has become nearly impossible for businesses to build long-term plans due to the war, Vodafone continues to focus on urgent tasks that help address wartime challenges. The company is committed to providing help wherever possible to save lives and health.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the face of continuous shelling, an increasing number of wounded Ukrainians, and medical facilities working under extreme pressure and limited resources, Vodafone is amplifying its support. The company adheres to the principle that any social task requires a comprehensive approach, and it considers partnerships the most effective form of implementing social initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dmytro Grysha, a representative of City24, shares what prompted the joint efforts, the future plans in charity, and how the company\u2019s team has transformed.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cOur partnership began with the realization that together we can do much more than alone.<\/b>\u201d<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Our joint efforts are primarily focused on supporting the Defence Forces of Ukraine\u2014purchasing protective equipment, technology, medicines, and ammunition for defenders. Serious work is also being done in the direction of restoring infrastructure in affected regions that need support, including social facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I would describe our cooperation as open, effective, and very goal-oriented,” <\/span><\/i>Dmytro emphasizes that his company values the opportunity to see the clear results of their work, as our Foundation always reports in detail on the expenditure of funds. He also appreciates the proactive stance of our Foundation\u2019s team, the search for new opportunities to help, and the readiness to respond promptly to the needs of those we assist.<\/span><\/p>\n

For Dmytro, protecting the country and helping its heroes is both a civic duty and a moral choice for his company. <\/span>“Only by joining forces we can bring our victory closer,”<\/span><\/i> he emphasizes. This again proves the alignment of our values\u2014to be socially responsible, contribute to the development of our country, and help those in need. That\u2019s why our partnership is even more meaningful and reliable.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Social responsibility is not just a fashionable word, but a necessary condition for the sustainable development of any company,”<\/span><\/i> says Dmytro. Therefore, city24 sets goals not just to generate profit but also to make a positive impact on society. Although the company was involved in charity before the full-scale war, the volume and intensity of its help have significantly increased now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dmytro notes that the city24 team has changed internally<\/strong>\u2014they have become more active, focused on the needs of others, and open to collaborating with charitable organizations. Quick responses to requests and the logistics of aid delivery have become a real challenge, but the team has learned to adapt quickly and find effective solutions. Every team member understands their involvement in an important cause and takes pride in the contribution they make to Ukraine\u2019s future.<\/span><\/p>\n

City24 also has plans to expand cooperation with partners and implement larger-scale projects. Opportunities are being considered not only for supporting the Defence Forces of Ukraine but also for supporting social initiatives aimed at rehabilitating veterans, assisting internally displaced persons, and developing education.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Dmytro\u2019s opinion, this is the essence of partnership for change\u2014uniting the resources, experience, and knowledge of different organizations to achieve a common goal.<\/span><\/p>\n
