The \u201cResilience: Regained Strength 2024\u201d project is part of the foundation’s global program aimed at improving the quality of medical care and rehabilitation in Ukraine. This initiative has become one of the key areas of our work this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Context<\/h2>\n

The ongoing war in Ukraine has led to widespread injuries and trauma, with estimates indicating that 450,000 individuals have sustained various injuries, many requiring amputations or experiencing temporary loss of physical function. In the past two years, Russia has launched more than 11,500 missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, driving daily increases in injuries. This demand has severely strained Ukraine\u2019s healthcare system, already short on skilled personnel. Beyond medical treatment, injured individuals need support for social reintegration. This crisis highlights the urgent need for rehabilitation facilities, medical training, and modern equipment to meet both healthcare and reintegration needs.<\/p>\n

Our strategic goal<\/strong> is to improve patient recovery rates, restore physical health, support social adaptation and resocialization, assist individuals in regaining vital life roles, and ensure they feel complete and valued in society. By focusing on tailored approaches, enhancing the quality and speed of rehabilitation, ultimately improving overall outcomes and supporting individuals in returning to fulfilling lives with greater independence and confidence.<\/p>\n

Project Highlights<\/h2>\n

\u279c 22<\/strong> units of modern medical and rehabilitation equipment have been supplied to 7<\/strong> leading medical facilities in Ukraine;
\n\u279c 38<\/strong> doctors successfully trained in electromyography, ultrasound diagnostics, and other advanced treatment methods;
\n\u279c Over 1,200<\/strong> patients receive higher-quality and more effective medical and rehabilitation services each month.<\/p>\n

The project covered Lviv, Uzhhorod, Vinnytsia, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions<\/strong>, with a total budget of 250 000$<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the implementation of the project, 15,000 people<\/strong> will receive assistance each year on their journey to recovery, reintegration, and return to a full life after the horrors of war.<\/p>\n
