The “Rehabilitation: New Life” project, supported by GlobalGiving, continues to strengthen medical teams across Ukraine. This time, modern equipment was delivered to the Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed named after Yuriy Lypa \u2014 one of the region’s leading healthcare institutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To support the rehabilitation department, we provided:
\n\u2022 Line Cable Cross Over, DKN Technology<\/strong> \u2014 a training machine that allows a wide range of strength and coordination exercises, helps build muscle power, improve balance, and increase joint mobility;
\n\u2022 KINETEC KINEVIA DUO, Kinetec<\/strong> \u2014 a device for active and passive therapy of upper and lower limbs, designed to restore joint movement and improve motor control.<\/p>\n

A hospital where patients recover comprehensively<\/h2>\n

The Yuriy Lypa Hospital is a multidisciplinary medical facility offering care across more than thirty areas. It hosts a modern rehabilitation center<\/strong><\/em> that combines physical and psychological rehabilitation, with dedicated kinesio- and ergotherapy spaces.
\nThe team works with patients after stroke, traumatic brain injuries, peripheral nervous system damage, spinal cord injuries, amputations, polytrauma, and musculoskeletal conditions.<\/p>\n

Here, recovery means not only restoring movement<\/strong><\/em>. Specialists also help patients regain everyday functions<\/strong><\/em> \u2014 self-care, daily household tasks, memory, concentration, fine motor skills, and attention. Each person is supported by a multidisciplinary team including a psychologist, speech and language therapist, social worker, and rehab coaches.<\/p>\n

This approach makes rehabilitation not fragmented, but continuous and attentive to every stage of progress.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Results that both doctors and patients can see<\/h2>\n

According to Oksana Sydlyar, a doctor of physical and rehabilitation medicine, the new equipment has significantly improved the effectiveness of therapy<\/strong><\/em> \u2014 motor skills, muscle strength, concentration, and joint mobility have increased. Patients notice positive changes faster, which greatly boosts their motivation to continue.<\/p>\n

One example is a 45-year-old patient after lower limb amputation<\/em><\/strong>, preparing for prosthetic fitting. Training with the new equipment helped him increase strength and endurance, reduce phantom pain, and stabilize his emotional state. This is a clear example of how technology becomes a real tool on the path back to activity.<\/p>\n

Partnership that leads to real change<\/h2>\n

This is not the first time the hospital has received our support \u2014 previously, we delivered equipment and organized training for specialists. Today, this assistance is becoming part of visible improvements inside the rehabilitation system. And the best proof of real impact is people who are recovering faster, more confidently, and with hope.<\/p>\n

\u201cParticipation in the \u2018Rehabilitation: New Life\u2019 project has significantly helped our department. The new equipment has simplified our work and allowed us to restore patients more quickly and efficiently. We can activate patients earlier, and they see progress faster \u2014 which motivates them even more.
